There's something about Autumn that has always sparked my creativity and made me look at the world with a sense of wonder. The vibrant reds and yellows melt together so spectacularly it's hard not to be drawn into the natural aesthetic. It's as though I'm a wide-eyed curious child again and everything I'm seeing is brand new. Of course, I can't help but head out into the crisp air and roam amongst the foliage, snapping away with my camera. All the better if I'm heading out with a beautiful and inspired model to ramble through the woods and play in the leaves.
Lying back on a padded ground and watching golden leaves floating to the ground, trekking through nettles and thicket, carving tree trunks...is this not what it's all about? For me, it was a great reminder to stay inquisitive and present. It's easy to be distracted by TV, Facebook, bills, chores, or whatever else takes your focus and it's important to take time for yourself to reconnect to the spontaneity and joy that came so naturally as a child.
Enjoy Autumn while it lasts - Winter is coming!
