The thing I really love about capturing a family's happy moments is knowing that they will be able to look back on each moment forever. How incredible that in fifty years time, the tiny subjects of my portraits could be showing the photos to their children and grandchildren, remembering that chilly Autumn day. It makes me wish I could look back on my own childhood so easily.
Running around after these kids, I couldn't help but smile constantly. They threw leaves at each other, rolled on the ground, giggled and climbed trees without a care in the world. If only we could all be quite so carefree!
It also made me appreciate my beautiful 50mm lens which I've neglected for a little while. I forgot what an incredible little lens it is. I'll definitely be keeping it with me for future shoots.
I'm the founder of Tinska and aside from photography, I spend my time practicing yoga, reading anything from Beat poetry to Science Fiction and running around after a cheeky puppy.
