LETTRE TO EU PARLAMENT

Dear Sirs!

We hold your work and your office in high esteem and this is why we approach you on this matter of high priority.

You might be aware that there has been a public outcry about the planned cut of approx. 500 trees along the Boulevard Of King Alexander in Belgrade.
Architects, urban planners, conservationists and concerned citizens have voiced their distress about the planned action.

Most recently a group of architects and academics have written to the Mayor of Belgrade asking him to reconsider the planned action. This letter I copy below together with several related links.

It would be of great help if you would personally agree to take action and examine the plan from the point of view of the Greenbelt Programme, and IUCN Office for SE Europe.

While some trees might need treatment, and some perhaps need replacement, it is inconceivable that they are all necrotic .
Please do reassure the citizens of Belgrade that you will not forget their trees, and that this major cull would not happen under your watch.

Many thanks in advance,
